A Swarm Of Angels is an experimental film that embraces the Creative Commons notion of flexible copyright licencing, allowing people to freely download, share, and remix the original media made for the project.

Elephants Dream

 

The world's first open movie, Elephants Dream is made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender. It is the story of two strange characters — Proog and his protégé Emo — exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine.

Big Buck Bunny

 

Big Buck Bunny was Blender Foundation's second Open Movie project. Five artists and two developers were invited to Amsterdam for seven months to create a funny and furry 3D short movie with Blender.

BloodSpell is the first feature-length Machinima animated film produced by machinima pioneer Hugh Hancock. It is made using the game Neverwinter Nights.

Star Wreck 5: Lost Contact

 

Star Wreck 5: Lost Contact is a parody of Star Trek: First Contact. The Korg send a ship back in time to 20th century Earth to stop first contact by assassinating rockstar Jeffrey Cochbrane before his concert attracts the attention of Vulgars.This was the first Star Wreck movie to use living human beings as actors, instead of animation.
